Marcia K. Tauscher, PAHS Class of 1955

Marcia K. Tauscher, 78, of Main St., Roulette, passed on peacefully Tuesday (Feb. 17, 2015) at her home, in the company of her family.
    

Born December 28, 1936, in Bellefonte, PA, she was a daughter of Donald G. and Marietta E. Strickland Fortner. On December 16, 1977, in Coudersport, she married Gerald H. Tauscher, who survives.
    

Marcia was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of the Port Allegany High School, Class of 1955.
    

She was employed an administrative secretary for the former Port Allegany Community Hospital for several years.
    

She was a member of the Sartwell Creek Union Church, Burtville, Roulette Fire Department Auxiliary, Roulette Chamber of Commerce, and enjoyed spending time with her family.  She also was an avid sewer and crafter.
    

Surviving are a son, Timothy A. (Nita) Spencer of Roulette; two daughters, Kathy M. (Rick) Todero of Coudersport, Jenny L. (Jeff) Kurth of LaPorte, IN; 7 grandsons, Michael and Chad Spencer, Danny Bill, Aaron Sean, Jacob, and Seth Kurt, 2 granddaughters, Brooke and Marisa Todero; 2 great-grandchildren, Dakota and Dayson Spencer; a brother, Kim (Joy) Fortner of Port Allegany; a sister, Cynthia (Harry) Weimer of Hendersonville, NC.
    

She was preceded in death by her parents.
      

At Marcia’s request there will be no funeral services.
      

Memorials can be made to the Roulette Fire Dept.
    

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
