Walter V. Tripp, PAHS Graduate



Walter V. Tripp, 78, of Roulette, died Tuesday (September 1, 2015) in the Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.

He was born Sept. 5, 1936 in Burtville, PA, a son of Warren and Doris Burt Tripp. On April 15, 1989, in Nunda, NY, he married Bonnie L. Baker, who survives.

Mr. Tripp was a graduate of Port Allegany High School and worked as an insurance salesman for many years before becoming Justice of the Peace for Mt. Morris, NY. He held the position for twelve and a half years.

He was a member of Sartwell Creek Union Church, the Genesee Valley Street Rods, and was an avid outdoorsman.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by:

two daughters: Anita Jo White of FL and Loretta Gay Young of NC

one son: Curtis R. Tripp of Williamsport, PA

three step sons: Michael (Fay) Robbins and David (Jennifer) Robbins, both of Syracuse, NY and Donald Robbins of Friendship, NY

one step daughter: Michelle (Elwyn) Gordon of Belmont, NY

several grandchildren and great-grandchildren

two sisters: Lois (Miles) Francisco of Belmont, NY and Marion (Butch) Yaun of GA

and several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held by the family at a later date and time to be announced. Burial will be in Card Creek Cemetery, Roulette.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Roulette Fire Department or the Sartwell Creek Union Church.
