Crosby's celebrate 70th Anniversary

For Mr. and Mrs. H. Lynn Crosby's 70th. wedding anniversary, across-the-street neighbor and former colleague Mahlon Davenport made the couple a "walnut cake." This one is made of walnut wood, a fitting gift from one former building contractor to another. The couples live on Dennis Avenue, in houses they built about 50 years ago.  Photo Supplied

 

Mr. and Mrs. H. Lynn Crosby of 105 Dennis Avenue, Port Allegany celebrated their 70th wedding  anniversary on February 10.  Margaret Segulin married H. Lynn Crosby at Daytona Beach, Florida, on February 10, 1945. He was a building contractor in Port Allegany for many years. She was a seamstress working for Ethan Allen in Eldred. They have one son, Bill Crosby, who lives in California. Friends and neighbors surprised the couple with cards, cakes and flowers, Tuesday, calling at the home Lynn built 50 years ago.  Photo Supplied
