Lynda I. Miles, 64, of Coryville, died Tuesday (July 14, 2015) at her residence.
She was born May 19,
1951 in Buffalo, NY, a daughter of Harry and Gladys Main Rush. On November 6,
1971, in the Sartwell Creek Union Church, Burtville, she married Michael J.
Miles, who survives.
Mrs. Miles was a 1969
graduate of Port Allegany High School and attended cosmetology school.
Lynda spent the
majority of her life as a homemaker, tending to the needs of her family.
She was a member of
the Regular Baptist Church of Smethport, the AWANA program at the Regular
Baptist Church of Smethport, and currently attending the Christian Gospel
Church of Coleville.
In addition to her
husband, she is survived by:
two sons: Christopher
(Crystal) Miles of Coryville and Michael (Brianna Oliver) Miles of Bradford
six grandchildren:
Michael, Zoe, and Kiana Miles, Jasmine Willetts, Tyler Howes, and Hunter Miles.
And several nieces
and nephews.
In addition to her
parents, Lynda was preceded in death by one brother, George Eldon Rush, and one
sister, Diane Cabisca.
Visitation were held
on Friday, July 17, from 6-8 PM at the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2
Bank St., Smethport. A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 18, at 3 PM,
at the Christian Gospel Church of Coleville, with the Rev. Dan LaPage, pastor,
officiating. Burial was in the Fairmount Cemetery, Farmers Valley.
