Red Cross Lifeguard Certification to be offered at Pitt-Bradford



BRADFORD, PA – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford will hold a Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course in May.

The course, which will be taught by Pitt-Bradford head swim coach Ed Bahan, will cost $140 per participant. Participants are asked to purchase their own book and CPR mask through www.redcrossstore.org. Reservations may be made by contacting the Division of Continuing Education and Regional Development at 814-362-5078 or contined@pitt.edu. The deadline to register is April 27.

Classes will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday May 4 through 15 in the Paul C. Duke Aquatic Center in the Richard E. and Ruth McDowell Sport and Fitness Center on campus.

The course meets the requirements for the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course and will include CPR certification, first aid and basic lifeguarding skills. Registrants must be 16 years old or older.
