Police Report 12/29 - 1/04

A combative Coudersport couple allegedly cut up rough in the Mid-Town Motel. An argument overheard in the background of a phone call sent police to a home. Celebratory fireworks may have been mistaken for gunshots. Port Allegany Police maintained vigilance during the New Year’s Eve and Day observances and the rest of the week that began Monday, December 29, 2014.

Last Monday at 6 p.m. Officer Adam Dickerson assisted a motorist with a vehicle lockout at Shop ’n Save.

At 9 p.m. Dickerson obtained fingerprints from Geromia Schoonover in connection with criminal trespass charges.

Last Tuesday Chief Dave Distrola received a report of a road rage incident in Emporium, stating that the vehicle involved might head toward Port  Allegany. The vehicle was not found.

Thursday at 1 a.m. Dickerson assisted the Smethport Police Department in Smethport, where a domestic dispute was in progress at 305 West Main Street. David Beimel subsequently was arrested for allegedly being in possession of a stolen .380 caliber handgun.

At 2:30 a.m. Dickerson responded to a report of a domestic conflict at the Mid-Town Motel. David Horn and Colleen Horn, both of South West Street, Coudersport, were cited for disorderly conduct for “displaying violent, tumultuous behavior towards each other and causing a disturbance.” David Horn was picked up by a third party and driven back to Coudersport.

At 10 a.m. Distrola responded to an alarm on Church Street. The building was found to be secure.

At 1:52 p.m. Distrola was dispatched to Wilson Avenue off Route 155 South in Liberty Township, at the request of Pennsylvania State Police. Once there he learned that adults had been having a verbal dispute when the mother of one of the six children there heard the argument in the background during a phone call, and called 911.

At 9:18 p.m. Officer Tony Tanner received a report of loud bangs thought to be gunshots around Broad Street. Tanner was unable to locate the noise but believes the sounds were fireworks.

Friday and Saturday were quiet, but Sunday at 1:10 p.m. Officer Kyle Day was dispatched to 24 North Main Street where a female was reported to be yelling for help. Upon arrival Day learned that Chelsea Dahlke and Geromia Schoonover were involved in an argument or dispute. Day reported that Dahlke had no visible injuries; Schoonover had left. Day cleared the scene.
