Winter Weather ADVISORY



RAIN WILL MOVE UP INTO THE STATE FROM THE SOUTHWEST VERY LATE TONIGHT AND SPREAD ACROSS THE STATE THROUGH THE DAY ON FRIDAY.  LIGHT FREEZING RAIN ARE POSSIBLE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE PRECIPITATION. A VERY MINOR AMOUNT OF SLEET OR SNOW MAY PRECEDE THE FREEZING RAIN. BY LATE AFTERNOON OR EARLY EVENING...ALL AREAS WILL BE MILD ENOUGH FOR ONLY PLAIN RAIN. 

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 1 PM EST FRIDAY... 

* LOCATIONS...LAUREL HIGHLANDS. 

* HAZARD TYPES...LIGHT FREEZING RAIN AND FREEZING DRIZZLE...BRIEFLY MIXED WITH SLEET TO START. 

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...A TENTH OF AN INCH OR LESS. 

* TIMING...PATCHES OF LIGHT FREEZING RAIN WILL APPROACH IN THE PRE DAWN HOURS...AND OVERSPREAD THE ADVISORY AREA AROUND DAWN.  FREEZING RAIN WILL 
GRADUALLY CHANGE OVER TO PLAIN RAIN THROUGH NOON.
* IMPACTS...UNTREATED ROADS AND WALKWAYS WILL BE HAZARDOUS.
* TEMPERATURES...IN THE LOWER 30S...WARMING TO THE MID TO UPPER 30S IN THE AFTERNOON.
