The Port Allegany Board of School Directors will
meet Thursday
night, December 4, at 7
p.m. in the high school library.
The annual reorganizational meeting will be held,
followed by a regular business meeting.
School boards across Pennsylvania must reorganize
in the first week of December, by law. Officers are elected for the coming
year, and various appointments and annual decisions are made.
By local custom, the school board meeting normally
held on the second Monday of the month is combined with the reorganizational
meeting. Usually the board skips the “fourth Monday” meeting in December.
