Winter Weather ADVISORY



WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 7 PM EST THURSDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STATE COLLEGE HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 7 PM EST THURSDAY.

* LOCATIONS...WARREN AND MCKEAN COUNTIES.

* HAZARD TYPES...SNOW.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...3 TO 6 INCHES BY THURSDAY EVENING.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL MOVE IN FROM THE NORTH AND EAST TONIGHT AND BECOME HEAVIEST DURING THE DAYLIGHT HOURS ON THURSDAY. THE SNOW SHOULD BECOME LESS WIDESPREAD AND LIGHTER THURSDAY EVENING.

* IMPACTS...SLOWED TRAVEL DUE TO SNOW COVERED ROADS. BLOWING SNOW MAY MAKE IT MORE DIFFICULT FOR THE SNOW PLOWS TO KEEP THE ROADS CLEAR.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST AT 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH.

* VISIBILITIES...GENERALLY BETTER THAN ONE MILE BUT LESS THAN A HALF OF A MILE IN THE HEAVIEST SNOW.
