ROULETTE—The winners in the 2015 calendar photo contest,
sponsored by the Upper Allegheny Watershed Association, have been announced.
Terry Palmer of Smethport won the top prize of $50 for his
photograph of the twisted wreckage of part of the Kinzua Viaduct, taken from
the level of the creek.
Shelby Milliron of Roulette received $25 for second place,
for her photo of a double rainbow over a Roulette area farm.
Third place and $15 went to Joe Fuoco of Bradford for his
shot of a mama bear and four offspring, one standing on hind legs, along South
Kendall Avenue in Roulette.
Those and other contest entries will be used in the UAWA’s
2015 calendar., which can be ordered by emailing uawa@mckeancountypa.org.
Frank Weeks, president of UAWA, said 87 persons had entered
the photo contest this year. There were many more entries, though, because each
person could offer three photos for consideration.
