OLEAN, NY- (WGRZ) A Mercyflight helicopter made an unscheduled landing at the Olean Airport Wednesday morning.
The
aircraft was in the process of transferring a patient from Port
Allegany to ECMC when the pilot felt something unusual at the controls.
Crews from area fire departments were called out as a precaution, but the chopper landed without incident.
A spokesperson for Mercyflight said the patient would be transferred to another helicopter to continue the trip into Buffalo.
