Pitt-Bradford to hold Introduction to GPS and Geocaching Class



BRADFORD, PA — The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford will hold an Introduction to GPS and Geocaching class for adults and youth Aug. 9 at Kinzua State Bridge Park.

The class, which is sponsored by the Division of Continuing Education and Regional Development will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Children age 10 or older may register with an adult. The cost is $20 per person.

Participants will learn about GPS and how to use it and also participate in a gentle 1.5-mile geocaching treasure hunt on the park’s trails.

Students will learn how to use a GPS to find a geocache and geocaching etiquette. Equipment will be provided. Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and pack a lunch and water.
