FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON...

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* A PORTION OF CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING   AREAS...BEDFORD...BLAIR...CAMBRIA...CAMERON...CLEARFIELD...ELK...FRANKLIN...FULTON...HUNTINGDON...MCKEAN...MIFFLIN...NORTHERN CENTRE...NORTHERN CLINTON...POTTER...SOMERSET...SOUTHERN CENTRE...SOUTHERN CLINTON AND WARREN.

* FROM 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON

* A SLOW MOVING FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL CROSS CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON. THE FRONT WILL TAP RICH SUBTROPICAL MOISTURE... PRODUCING TRAINING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS AND TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS. RAINFALL ACROSS THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH AREA WILL AVERAGE BETWEEN ONE AND A HALF TO TWO AND A HALF INCHES... WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS.

* EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THE HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE RAPID RISES ON CREEKS AND STREAMS. FLASH FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY FOR AREAS THAT HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED EXCESSIVE RAINFALL IN RECENT DAYS. PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS AND FLOODING OF POOR DRAINAGE AREAS IS EXPECTED AS WELL.
