Lady Gators Honor Seniors

The Lady Gators honored four of their own during Senior Night 2014.  McKenna Johnson is pictured going through the receiving line at the beginning of the Senior Night Ceremony held prior to the Lady Gator - Lady Greenwave contest.

Senior members of the Lady Gators Basketball team were honored prior to their game with the Lady Greenwaves of Oswayo Valley on Friday, February 7 at PAHS.  Senior members included players Becca Lathrop, Krista Miller and McKenna Johnson and manager Erika Helo.  Their teammates of the Varsity team are Shania Jones, Autumn Buchsenschutz, Somer Buchsenschutz, Lynae Delacour, Brooke Roys, Kendra Pelchy, Samantha Metzger and Hannah Donnelly.  The team is coached by Kristina Francis, assisted by Laurie Lathrop.  Managers are Helo, Brianna Roys and Hannah Lathrop.

McKenna Johnson is the daughter of Risha and Scott Johnson.  She has participated in basketball for six years.  She is currently a basketball captain.  McKenna has also participate in soccer and served as captain, softball and track.  She is a member of the Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band and IU9 Band.  She is a member of the Concert Choir, and serves as Vice President; Show Choir, Chamber Singers and was in the Spring Musical.  She is also a member of Mock Trial, Student Council where she served as Treasurer, National Honor Society where she serves as Vice-President; Varsity Club, SADD, French Club where she serves as President and Prom Committee.  McKenna plans to attend St. Bonaventure University and major in physical therapy.

Becca Lathrop is the daughter of Laurie and Sean Lathrop. Becca has participated in basketball for six years and served as captain for two years.  She scored over 1,000 career points and is an NTL All-star for two years and was selected as the 2013 league MVP.  She was selected as a Big 30 All Star and D9 All Star.  She also participated in volleyball where she served as captain, was a volleyball All Star for two years; played softball and track where she qualified for districts for two years.  Becca is a member of the Spanish Club, French Cub, National Honor Society, Student Council and Concert Choir.  Becca plans to attend college. 

Krista Miller is the daughter of Sheila and Gib Miller.  Krista has participated in basketball for six years and currently is a captain.  She was selected as a NTL Second-Team All-Star, was a football cheerleader where she served as captain and a member of the track team where she qualified for districts for three years.  She is a member of the Varsity Club, Student Council, has served as class Vice President for five years, French Club, Prom Committee, Concert Choir and National Honor Society.  Krista was selected by the student body as the 2014 Homecoming Queen.  She plans to attend college and major in nursing. 

Erika Helo is the daughter of Susan and Vince Helo.  She has managed basketball for four years.  She has been a member of the soccer and track teams, Spanish Club, Yearbook Staff and received a Yearbook Excellence Award for two years.  She is a member of the Student Council, Varsity Club and Concert Choir.  Erika plans to attend college with an undecided major along with a minor in photography.
