Harold "Roy" Williams, NRA Member



Harold “Roy” Williams, 87, of Park Lane Dr., passed away unexpectedly Monday (Mar. 3, 2014) in St. Vincent’s Health Center, Erie, PA.
    
Born September 6, 1926, in Coudersport, he was the son of Asa R. and Julia Haskins Williams. On March 17, 1945, he married Carmella Bologna, who died Sept. 4, 1948.  In 1951, in Eldred, he married Agnes M. Murphy Plummer, who died Sept. 14, 1987.  On July 30, 1988, in Port Allegany, he married Donna M. Studer, who died Jan. 29, 2007.
    
Mr. Williams has worked for Ball-Incon Corp. (Pierce Glass Co.) as carton crew leader, retiring in 1991, after 44 years of service.
    
He was a member of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Port Allegany, Knights of Columbus, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 460, both of Port Allegany, and the National Rifle Association.
    
Surviving are two sons, Michael R. (Millie) Williams of Port Allegany, Raymond B. Williams of Williamsport, PA, three grandsons, two granddaughters, several great grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Donna L. (Richard) Clark of Niagara Falls, NY, Connie S. (Clifford) Frederick of Smethport; a sister, Eleanor E. Kuhn of Tioga, PA; and longtime companion, Lois Payne, with whom he spent much of his free time.
    
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives: Carmella, Agnes and Donna; two grandsons, Infant Raymond and Roy A. Williams; and two sisters, Helen M. Chastain and Dorothy M. Barber.
    
Friends are invited to attend a memorial mass at 11 a.m. Saturday (Mar. 8, 2014) in St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, with Rev. James Campbell, as celebrant.  Burial will be in St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Port Allegany.
    
Memorials can be made to St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church Memorial Fund.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
