Victor R.
Safford, 41, of Port Allegany, died Monday (October 28, 2013) at The Pavilion
at Bradford Regional Medical Center, Bradford.
He was born Oct 30, 1971 in Coudersport, a son of Victor C. and Susan A. Brewer Safford.
Mr. Safford was a 1989 graduate of Port Allegany High School.
He was in the U.S. Army, serving from 1989 to 1991 in the Persian Gulf.
Mr. Safford had worked in Austin, PA at Emporium Specialties, and previously had worked in Florida and Alabama.
He was a member of American Legion Frank Burt Post #258, of Port Allegany, PA 16743.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by:
His maternal Grandfather, Robert Brewer of Shinglehouse, PA.
He was preceded in death by his maternal Grandmother, Laura Brewer, his paternal Grandparents, Victor Safford and Betty Baker Safford, and his sister, Valorie S. Safford, on Dec. 29, 2010.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc, 105 N. Main St, Port Allegany, PA. Funeral and committal services will be held on Thursday, at 11 A.M., from the funeral home, with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Grimes Cemetery, Port Allegany.
Military Honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the Port Allegany Honor Guard
