For several years,
Open Arms Community Church and Grace Lutheran Ministries event, Trunk or Treat,
has been a growing attraction among young trick or treaters on Halloween Night.
This year, that
partnership between the two churches continues, as the churches plan to fill
the parking lot at Grace Lutheran with cars, and candy, and fun and games in
the Community Life Center. The event will be held during trick or treating
hours, from 6:00 to 7:30PM.
The event will expand
into Port Allegany this year as well. Open Arms Port Allegany will hold their
first Trunk or Treat from 5:00 -7:00 at the bus garage parking lot on Oak
Street.
Bradford's event drew
out close to 3,000 people last year, and they handed out around 500 pounds of
candy.
While it's the first
year for Port Allegany, event organizers are still expecting hundreds of kids
to attend while on their trick or treating rounds.
Open Arms Bradford
Outreach Coordinator Justin Willoughby says, "Our goal is to provide a
family friendly atmosphere for families in The Bradford Area and The Port
Allegany area. We want to express our love for people and our love for God by
providing Trunk or Treat again this year"
