Pitt-Bradford to offer GPS and geocaching class

Bradford, PA – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford will offer a GPS and Geocaching workshop from 10a.m. to 1p.m. on Saturday, April 20. The course will be held in Kinzua Bridge State Park, four miles north of U.S. Route 6 in Mount Jewett on SR 3011. The cost is $25.

Participants will meet at the park pavilion and enjoy a gentle 1.5-mile geocaching treasure hunt on Kinzua Park’s trails. On the hike, participants will learn to navigate through appropriate GPS  screens, use the GPS unit to find a geocache, and all about geocaching etiquette.

Participants should dress comfortably and pack a lunch. GPS equipment will be provided for use, as well as water.
