BRADFORD, Pa. - There is still time to sign up to take part in the Willow Creek Triathlon.
The triathlon, celebrating its 10th year, will be held Saturday, Aug. 1.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Disabled American Veterans of
McKean and Warren counties. Over the past decade more than $150,000 has
been donated to these two agencies.

Registrations made by July 18 are $40 for individuals and $80 for a team.
After that, the fee is $50 for individuals and $90 for teams.
The
race starts with a 300-yard swim in Quaker Lake in Allegany State Park
in New York State followed by a 15-mile bicycle ride to the Corydon
Hotel. The last leg of the triathlon is a three-mile run to the Willows
Restaurant.
Participants may also do a duathlon which eliminates the swim.
Pre-registration packets may be picked up from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 31, at the Bradford Family YMCA. Registrations will also be accepted at this time as well as the day of the race from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at Quaker Lake.
A rules meeting will be held at 9 a.m. and the race starts at 9:30.
In
addition to the male Clydesdale team division there is also an
individual Clydesdale and the female Athena division for both teams and
individuals. Weight requirements are 200 lbs. for men and 150 lbs. for
women.
