Gary
L. Butler, 51, of Simar Dr., Turtlepoint, passed away Monday (July 20, 2015) in the Olean
General Hospital.
Born
Aug. 12, 1963, in Barnesville, OH, he was a son of Richard J. and Mary J. Hall
Butler. On Oct. 14, 2000, in Turtlepoint, he married Vicki L. Stuckey,
who survives.
Mr.
Butler was a resident of the area for many years, and attended Port Allegany
High School.
Gary
was an owner-operator truck driver having worked for Buckler Transport,
Roulette, Mark Upthegraff, Williamsport, PA, and L & G Sadler Trucking,
Friendship, NY.
Mr.
Butler attended Birch Grove Mennonite Church, Port Allegany. He was
a member of A.B.A.T.E., McKean County Chapter, and O.O.I.D.A. (Owner, Operator,
Independent, Drivers, Association).
Surviving
are four sons, Earl L. (Stephanie) Grabowski of Amarillo, TX, Branden M. Doty
of Marienville, PA, Gavin D. Stuckey of Smethport, Joshua L. Butler of Eldred;
a daughter, Kaila P-L Blair of Marble, PA; three granddaughters, and two
grandsons; a brother, Claude R. Butler of Turtlepoint; two sisters, Marilyn D.
(Robert) Clark of Silsbee, TX, Shirley Y. Takosky of Port Allegany; and several
nieces and nephews.
He
was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Richard J. Butler, Jr., and a
sister, Marsha J. Jenkins.
A
memorial service will be held at a time and place to be announced.
Funeral
arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port
Allegany.
