Virginia D. Heany, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 460 Member

Virginia D. Heany, 93, formerly of Skinner Creek Rd. passed away Wednesday (June 10, 2015) in Sena Kean Manor, Smethport.
    

Born January 1, 1922, in Liberty Township, PA, she was a daughter of Floyd A. and Iva L. Harris Studer.  On Aug. 31, 1950, in Port Allegany, she married Joseph Fitzsimmons, who died Aug. 17, 1959.  On Nov. 5, 1960 in Port Allegany, she married Theodore Heany, who died Feb. 2, 1975.  
    

Virginia had worked for Marx Toy Co, of Erie, PA, and most recently as housekeeper for several local residents, before her retirement.
    

She was a member of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Port Allegany, and Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 460, Port Allegany.  
    

Surviving are three sisters, Rena Bliss of Eldred, Esther Ross of Rantoul, IL, Joan Waid of Port Allegany; and several nieces and nephews.  
    

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, Joseph and Theodore, three brothers, Floyd “Bud” Studer, Joseph Studer and Fernley Studer; three sisters, Clasa Studer, Mildred Ludwig, and Donna Williams.
    

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, with Rev. James Campbell as celebrant.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Eldred.
    

Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
