William J. Russell, Jr., 65, of Port Allegany, died Wednesday (April 8, 2015)
in the Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.
He was born Aug. 24,
1949 in Dover, NJ, a son of William J. and Elsie Truckenmiller Russell, Sr. On
Feb. 28, 2000, in Carrolton, NY, he married Kay Kenyon, who survives.
Mr. Russell was a
graduate of Dover High School of Dover, NJ and had served in the U.S. Air
Force.
Mr. Russell worked
for Hewlett-Packard, Alltel and Megg Corp. in Oklahoma, Electra Texas Phone in
Texas, and was recently employed by Adelphia Business Solutions in Coudersport.
He was a member of
S.H.A.R.K.S. Flying Club, the American Legion Frank Burt Post #258 of Port
Allegany. He enjoyed flying radio controlled model aircraft.
In addition to his
wife, he is survived by
one daughter: Sarah
(Corbitt) Richards of Chicashea, OK
one son: Jason
(Tiffany) Russell of Blanchard, OK
one step son: Aaron
(Deb) McKeirnan of Crosby
one step daughter:
Sarah (Chris) Johnston of Eldred
eight grandchildren:
Grey and Brian Russell, Ty Friton, Sean Barnhart, Jeffrey McKeirnan, Audrey,
Clara and Tessa Johnston.
He was preceded in
death by his parents.
Visitation will be
held on Monday, April 13, from 10AM to 12 noon at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes,
Inc, 105 N Main St, Port Allegany, where funeral and committal services will
begin at 12:00 noon, with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist
Church, officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the Port Allegany
Honor Guard.
