PAHS Showcase

Showcase 2015 was held last weekend at PAHS.  The program featured students in grades 4 through 12.  

The concert began with the Senior High Show Choir and "Everyday" with soloist Matthew Causer followed by the Elementary Ensemble taking the stage to "Play Ball".   "Maple Leaf Rag" came next performed by the Junior High Show Choir.

"Nothing" (from A Chorus Line) was sung by Sydney Fitzsimmons.  Dressed in their best robes and bathing gear, the Elementary Ensemble delighted the audience with their version of "Splish Splash".  

Junior High followed with "Circle of Life" (from the Lion King) with soloists Brianna Roys and McKenna Cornelius, Friday night and Anthony Edgell and Tara Briggs Saturday night.  

"Ol Man River" (from Showboat) was sung by Andrew Rosenswie followed by the Senior High Girls singing Black Sheep with soloists Anna Undercofler Friday night and Ashley Ahearn Saturday night.  Sisters Audrea and Melody Gimino were the soloists for "Over the Rainbow" (from The Wizard of Oz).  

VocalARTS Ensemble, Daniel Bishel, Lynae Delacour, Katherine Ernst, Brandon Maben, Joshua Mealy, Mira Terrette and Anna Undercofler,  sang "Seasons of Love" (from Rent).  Ashley Ahearn  sang "Once Upon A Dream" (from Jekyll & Hyde) and the Junior High group sang "Hear the Music" with soloists Katherine Ernst and Imagin Borwn on Friday night and Nia Klein and Madison Preston on Saturday.  

Charles Kysor sang "Goodbye" (from Catch Me If You Can) followed by "Stand in the Rain" by the Senior High group.  "Wonderful Light Medley" with soloists Josh Mealy and Daniel Fernstrom, also presented by the Senior High Show Choir, was the last number on the program before the Combined Choirs sang the traditional finale.  Soloists for "Hand in Hand" were Hannah Ernst, Caitlyn Harvey and Andrew Rosenswie on Friday and Rikki Rennells, Lynae Delacour and Adam Koehler on Saturday.

Showcase directors are Kenneth J. Myers and Annamaria Myers.  Members of the pit orchestra are Kenneth J. Myers, Sara Bishel, Brad Stewart, Todd Mealy and Joshua Mealy.  Costumer is Cheryl Brown.  Julia Young and Ronee Unverdorben took care of the lighting and Chelsey Russell served as Rehearsal Assistant.  Ticket sales were handled by Mary Anne Mantz and Cindy Lasher.  

Upcoming events include the spring musical on May 8 and 9 at 8 p.m. in the high school auditorium.  The PAHS Music Department and Drama Club through special arrangement with Music Theatre International will present Disney's Beauty and the Beast.  

May 13 will be the Spring Concert featuring the band and choir for students in grades 4-9 at 7:30 p.m. at PAHS.  May 20 will be the Spring Concert for grades 10-12 at 8 p.m. at PAHS.  Pam Fischer Photos
