Dancers from the Sandy Johnson School of Dance, (front
row) Kylie McKiernan; (row 2) Emily Baumgarner, Brielle Budd, Thea
Peruzzi, Leigha Nelson, Allison Preston, Bree Frair; (back) Makayla
Alcorn, Reagan Hutton and Morgan Dowell, strike a pose for the R-A
camera. The group will perform at the annual Night of Games to be
held Tuesday, March 31 at the Port Allegany High School Gymnasium
beginning at 6 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $3. Students and staff who are participating may attend free of charge.
An
exciting evening event is being planned by the PAHS Basketball
Boosters. In addition to the performances by the Sandy Johnson School
of Dance students, the return of the Elementary Gym Show, spearheaded
by Mike Nasto and Annamaria Myers, is sure to entertain. The
traditional volleyball and basketball games starring the seniors as they
take on the faculty (and friends) will highlight the event.
The
Night of Games is a major fundraiser for the Basketball Boosters. The
funds raised provide Senior Nights for the Gator Guys and Lady Gators,
senior gifts, coaches gifts and the annual basketball banquets. A
donation of $500 is given to each varsity basketball coach (boys and
girls) for their summer programs each year. As seen on the pages of the
Reporter Argus earlier this year, the cheerleaders received new
pom-poms from the Basketball Boosters. Pam Fischer Photo
