Virginia Mae Crowley,
85, of Turtlepoint, passed away peacefully on Saturday (February 7, 2015) at
her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born Sept.
29, 1929 in Brockway, a daughter of Wilbur R. and Mary E. Sabatose Edgreen, Sr.
On Dec. 2, 1950 in St Mary's Catholic Church, Sartwell, she married Charles E.
Crowley, who passed away on Jan. 11, 2006.
Mrs. Crowley was a
graduate of Brockway High School. After graduation, she left the area when she
was 18, moving to Port Allegany to stay with her Aunt and Uncle, Bruce and
Naomi Edgreen.
She worked for
Sylvania Electric in Emporium prior to her marriage.
Mrs. Crowley was a
member of St Mary Catholic Church, Sartwell.
She is survived by:
five daughters: Mary
(Joseph) Horning of Mason, OH, Teresa (Steve) Callihan of Myrtle Beach, SC,
Karen (Clair) Hawver of Turtlepoint, Julie (David) Kio of Roulette, and Joanne
(James) Karas of Turtlepoint
Ten grandchildren:
Teresa Horning of Westchester, OH, Joseph Horning of Mason, OH, Erin (Rodney)
Danco of Ashburn, VA, Shannon Callihan of San Antonio, TX, Ryan (Molly)
Callihan of Conway, SC, Kyle (Amanda) Hawver of Middle River, MD, Kerry
(Kristin) Hawver of Port Allegany, Charles and Dane Hagg of Turtlepoint, and
Ashley Karas of Lakeside, FL.

great-grandchildren: Liam and Adam Hawver of Port Allegany, Zoe Hawver of
Middle River, MD, Rodney and Declan Danco of Ashburn, VA, and Aurora and Janell
Hagg of Smethport
one brother: Gerald
Edgreen of FL
and several nieces
and nephews
She was preceded in
death by her parents, husband and a brother, Wilber Edgreen.
Visitation will be
held on Tuesday Feb. 10, 2015 from 5-7PM in the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes,
Inc, 105 N Main St, Port Allegany, PA. A Mass of Christian burial will be held
at 10:00 am Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Sartwell with
the Rev. Thomas Brown, Pastor, as Celebrant.
Burial will be in the
St Mary Catholic Cemetery, Sartwell. A Christian Wake service will be conducted
at 6:45 PM on Tues. in the funeral home.
