Port Allegany Police had a reasonably
uneventful week beginning Monday, December 22, as most residents seemed
occupied with holiday fun or were conscious of Santa’s close observation.
Still, officers patrolled and enforced the law as needed.

ambulance personnel gain entry to a Hickory Street residence to help a resident
who had fallen.

property issue on West Mill Street. He advised the caller to contact the
magisterial district judge or the Victims’ Resource Office.

hang-up at a West Vine Street residence. The call was found to have been
accidental.
Thursday at 2:20 a.m. Tanner discovered a vehicle crashed
into a signpost behind the port office. The vehicle was a silver 2001 Audi,
registered to Adam Lloyd of Foster Circle. Investigation continues; charges may
follow.
At 10:30 a.m. Distrola attempted
contact with the Audi owner but did not reach him. Bidwell’s Auto towed the
vehicle.
At 5 p.m. Tanner contacted the Audi owner. Still
being determined is who was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Friday at 11:30 a.m. Officer Kyle Day was asked to respond
to a North Main Street residence where a resident was having difficulty with an
oxygen apparatus. Day reset the equipment for the user.

lookout for a maroon Toyota operated by James Antill allegedly in violation of
a Protection From Abuse order. Antill was found at Sheetz and detained to be
