Chamber Singers to perform in NYC





The Port Allegany High School Chamber Singers have been invited to perform on the 9th Annual Performing Arts Educators Invitational at Carnegie Hall / Stern Auditorium in New York City.  The event will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. and is open to the public.  The concert will feature invited choirs in representative performances plus a combined finale under the direction of Dr. Peggy Dettwiler of Mansfield University.

Members of the group include:  Ashley Ahern, Ashley Anderson, Daniel Bishel, Steven Bressan, Devon Briggs, Mackenzie Burr, Matthew Causer, Morgan Causer, Zoe Danton-Kinney, Kennedy Dates, Hannah Ernst, Daniel Fernstrom, Sydney Fitzsimmons, Kaitlyn Goodreau, Caitlyn Harvey, Monica Johnson, Linea Kelley, Imani Klein, Eli Knapp, Adam Koehler, Frances Kujawski, Charles Kysor, Joyanna Landes, Malari Lapp, Hannah Lathrop, Ryan McNeil, Joshua Mealy, Samantha Metzler, Marcus Murphy, Zarek Price, Rikki Rennells, Andrew Rosenswie, Brianna Roys, Brooke Roys, Evelyn Russell, Christina Safford, Jefferson Stehle, David Tarkington, Garrett Tarkington, Mira Terrette, Anna Undercofler, Brock Veilleux and Caroline Wise. The Chamber Singers are under the direction of Kenneth J. Myers.

A chartered bus for parents, family and friends will leave the high school at 5 a.m. with drop off at Carnegie Hall in time for the concert and then returning after the show. Weather and travel permitting, the bus will arrive in New York City by 12 p.m., allowing some time for sightseeing.
