Upon sober reflection, after a bender
of a fender behind the Moose, a driver will contact the insurance company. A
sewerage problem was reported on Hillside. A stray cabinet was cornered and
taken back home. Someone reported having been stalked from Port to Coudersport.
Those were among matters that came to
police attention in the week that began Monday, December 1.
Last Monday at 8:31
a.m. Officer Kyle Day was called about an
apparent sewage problem on Hillside Avenue. The borough crew was paged.
At 5:30 p.m. Officer Tony Tanner
received a report concerning possible criminal mischief at Indian Echo. The
caller said a known person had been in the area, and later the caller’s vehicle
had a soft tire. No damage was reported.
Last Tuesday at 10:49 a.m. Distrola was
contacted about a suspicious incident said to have occurred the previous night.
The caller reported having been followed by a male subject after the caller had
made a purchase at Sheetz. The follower had pursued the customer all the way
home to a Coudersport residence.
At 3:30 p.m. Distrola was contacted by
a Sherwood Hollow resident, who voiced concern over a female coworker having
talked about getting someone to beat him up. The comment was said to have been
made in jest, but the complainant was not amused.
Last Wednesday at 6 a.m. Distrola was
dispatched to check out a business alarm. The building was found secured. The
incident was deemed a false activation.
At 9:35 a.m. Distrola was contacted
about a corner cabinet having been removed from a rental property on East Vine
Street. The alleged violator was contacted and instructed to return the
cabinet, which was determined to be a fixture that had been included in the
sale of the property.
At 5 p.m. Officer Adam Dickerson received a
complaint alleging that the complainant’s ex-girlfriend had entered his South
Main Street apartment. The complainant did not want to press charges, but did
want his ex to stay away.
At 7:52 p.m. Dickerson was called to
South Main Street where a deer had been struck by a vehicle. He euthanized the
deer and removed it from the road.
Thursday at 12
a.m. Dickerson was dispatched to Head
Start, where someone reported having seen lights flashing inside. Dickerson
found the building secured, and there was no one inside.
At 6 p.m. Dickerson conducted a follow-up on a
fender bender that had happened behind the Moose Family Center last week. The
individual who night have been involved indicated plans to contact the
insurance company.
Friday at 5:25 p.m. Dickerson was dispatched to a Route 6
residence where a domestic conflict was reported. He stood by until
Pennsylvania State Police arrived.
At 9 p.m. Dickerson was contacted about alleged
child abuse. He learned that the alleged incident had occurred outside the
borough limits. He referred the call to PSP.
At 9:45 p.m. Dickerson was dispatched
to Lower Grimes for a vehicle crash. Reportedly a vehicle had slid off the road
and struck a tree. The driver was not present. Dickerson stood by until PSP
arrived.
Sunday at 8:07 a.m. Officer Jason Crants was contacted
about a water line break on North Main Street. He requested that the borough
crew be paged out for repairs.
At 3:30 p.m. Crants stood by at the East
Vine Street residence where the former tenant was returning the cabinet. There
were no issues to report.
At 10:40 p.m. Officer Tanner discovered
a suspicious vehicle parked behind Shop ’n Save. He issued a written warning
about the lack of a license and registration, and the expired inspection
sticker.
Monday at 3:14
a.m. Tanner received a report of a possible
theft from a business on South Main Street, where a witness reported seeing a
vehicle stop and possibly load some items into a truck. Investigation
continues.
