Port Allegany Police had a mercifully
quiet week, beginning Monday, November 24, but not without some law enforcement
activity, and other helpful services.
Last Monday at 12:03
p.m. Officer Kyle Day received a complaint
of criminal mischief around the Indian Echo Club property. It was requested
that there be more patrols in that area.
Last Tuesday at 6 p.m. Officer Adam
Dickerson was asked for help with a vehicle lockout.
Last Wednesday at 11:45 p.m. Dickerson
received a report that someone had hit a car at the Moose Family Center. The
owner of the car alleged to have hit the car denied having done so. It was
found that the incident was non-reportable.
Friday at 2 p.m. Chief Dave Distrola
helped a motorist change a flat tire the motorist thought to have been caused
by criminal mischief. No criminal mischief was confirmed.
At 7:35 p.m. Dickerson received a
report that a woman’s car had been rear-ended at the red light at the intersection
of North Main Street and Mill Street.
At 2 a.m. Dickerson initiated a traffic stop on
South Main Street because of a traffic violation, and suspected the driver to
be under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending lab results.
Saturday at 2 a.m. Dickerson received a call about a
possible burglary on South Main Street. Charges are pending.
At 10:50 a.m. Officer William Wenzel
received a complaint that the United States Postal Service had lost or
misplaced a package containing something the complainant had ordered. Wenzel
advised him to contact someone at the local post office.
At 6:25 p.m. Officer Tony Tanner served
subpoenas in connection with a hearing.
At 7 p.m. Tanner served a protection from abuse
order at Park Lane Drive, at the request of Coudersport-based Pennsylvania
State Police.
