Larry G. Freeman, U. S. Navy Veteran



Larry G. Freeman, 62, of Port Allegany, died Wednesday (December 17, 2014) at his residence in Port Allegany.

He was born Feb. 2, 1952 in Port Allegany, a son of Melvin B. and Mary E. Baker Freeman. On August 6, 1977 he married Rose Green Taylor, who died Jan. 19, 1987. He then was together with Becky Hawver Trimm, who died on May 19, 2006.

Mr. Freeman was a 1970 graduate of Port Allegany High School and worked at Pierce Glass, now Verallia/Ardaugh of Port Allegany for 43 years, retiring on May 1, 2014.

He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam, from 1971 to 1975.

He was a member of the NRA, Port Allegany VFW; Post #639, and enjoyed restoring and working on old cars, playing cards on the computer, and motorcycles. He just purchased a new Harley-Davidson to ride this coming year.

He is survived by:
Two daughter: Robin Engl-Taylor of Mt. Jewett, PA and Jessie Trimm of Port Allegany
Four sons: Randy E. (Debbie) Pesock of Roulette, Bruce K. (Sybil) Taylor, Jamie Kisko, and Andy (Megan) Trimm, all of Port Allegany
one sister: Linda (Cecil) Messer of Port Allegany, PA
Grandchilden: Rosey and Miranda Pesock, Hannah Ostrander, Terrick Haggard, Dallas, Allie and Mason Taylor, Pierce Mackey, Hunter, Cole and Chance Kisko, Archer, Ryder, Hayden and Aliza Trimm
2 Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, wife, and long time companion, he was pre-deceased by one son, Dennis Pesock on Aug. 16, 2013, and two brothers: Bruce and Bernard Freeman.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 19, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc, 105 N Main St, Port Allegany, PA, where funeral and committal services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 20, at 11:00 A.M., with the Rev. LaVerne Howard, pastor of the Sartwell Creek Union Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Annin Creek Cemetery, Annin Twp. Military Honors will be accorded by Port Allegany Honor Guard.
