Two allegedly suicidal persons, each
with a knife, were subjects of police calls, and a missing car was not stolen
but had been taken by its other owner, in a comparatively quiet week for Port
Allegany Police, beginning Monday, November 17.
Last Monday at 11
a.m. Chief Dave Distrola received
information that a debit card had been found in the ATM at the First national
Bank of Port Allegany.
Last Tuesday at 2:38 p.m. Distrola
received a message from McKean County Children and Youth Services and forwarded
it to Officer Adam Dickerson, soon to come on duty. No further information was
released.
Wednesday at 2:30
a.m. Dickerson received a noise complaint
concerning a Hickory Street location. He searched the area but did not see or
hear the cause of the complaint.
Thursday at 2:08
p.m. Distrola received a call relaying the
information that an unauthorized person had removed mail from a South Main
Street resident’s mailbox. Distrola was unable to locate the unauthorized
person.
At 5 p.m. Dickerson returned a phone call to an
individual about a citation that had been issued to her.
At 6:30 p.m. Dickerson made a traffic
stop on North Main Street for a traffic violation and issued a citation.
Friday at 8 a.m. Distrola was asked to
help unlock a vehicle on Willow Street.
Saturday at 9:55 p.m. Officer Tony Tanner received a call
about threats or harassment using Facebook, from an account suspected of having
been hacked. Tanner advised the North Main Street resident to change all
passwords.
Sunday at 7 a.m. Officer Jason Crants
received a call from Pennsylvania State Police requesting assistance in
locating an intoxicated person along Route 6. Shortly after Crants began the
search the request was canceled.
At 1:20 p.m. Crants received a call
reporting that a female said to be suicidal was near Vine Street, and had a
knife. Crants found the individual. She was taken to Bradford Regional Medical
Center for mental health observation.
At 7:59 p.m. Tanner received a call
about a vehicle possibly stolen from the caller’s location. Tanner’s
investigation revealed that the vehicle is jointly owned, and the other owner
had caused the vehicle to be removed from the caller’s property.
At 12:23 a.m. Monday Tanner was asked
to assist PSP with a matter involving a suicidal man with a knife. When Tanner
reached the location indicated, the individual had left, but the knife was
found there.
