The Port Allegany Rotary Club held their regular weekly
meeting at the Moose Family Center on October 23. Christa Schott filled
in for President Jerry Goodrich. The guest speaker was Sue McClelland
who gave a program on her mother, a polio survivor. On behalf of her
family, she thanked Rotary for their work to eradicate polio. October
24 is World Polio Day.
The club welcomed two senior guests -
Brooke Roys and Kelsie Fuller. Brooke is the daughter of Terry Roys and
Wendy Roys and she has a sister, Brianna. She is a member of the
volleyball, softball and basketball teams, is president of the Student
Council and also serves as class president. She is a member of the
National Honor Society, is the Peer Helper Vice-President and Varsity
Club, is a member of the Concert Choir Show Choir and Chamber Singers,
is a member of the Prom committee and was selected to the 2014
Homecoming Court. Her future plans are to attend Mansfield University
to major in Biology. She will also play softball for Mansfield.
Kelsie is the daughter of Tim and Wendy Fuller. She has an eleven year old
brother, Scott. Kelsie is in the Vocational program and is a member of
the Concert Choir. She enjoys playing soccer. Kelsie plans to attend
college to study nursing.
There were twelve members
present for a reportable attendance of 50 percent. The Lucky Rotarian
