Pitt-Bradford to offer 'Digital Distractions' course



BRADFORD, PA – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford will offer “Digital Distractions: How to Manage Technology and Media Addiction for Adults, Children and Families” Oct. 22.

The course will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Room 200 of the Seneca Building at 2 Main St. in Bradford. The cost is $29 per participant.

The workshop will teach participants the warning signs, risk factors and strategies to overcome technology addiction. Students will learn the impact of videogames, Internet gambling and online pornography on individuals, couples and families. Participants will also go over parenting guidelines developed for the Pennsylvania Senate Communications Office on what is needed to know about children and adolescents who may be addicted to games and technology.
