Two PAHS Lady Gator Soccer players were
recognized at half-time of the Port Allegany-Kane contest on the
occasion of their 50th career goals. Somer Buchsenschutz (pictured
right) scored 2 goals against Smethport on Thursday evening in
Smethport. The second goal, a penalty kick, was her 50th career goal.
The Lady Gators defeated the Lady Hubbers 5-0. In Saturday's game
against Kane, Lynae Delacour scored three goals in the first half to
lead the Lady Gators to a 5-0 win over Kane. She, too, now has reached
the 50-goal career mark. The athletes are pictured with their coach
Travis Cowburn. Both seniors, Somer is the daughter of Jim and Cathy
Buchsenschutz and Lynae is the daughter of Keith and Barb Delacour.
As Somer and Lynae will gladly tell you, you don't get 50 career soccer goals on your own.
