Last week's column was a little delayed, so I'm trying to be
a little more on the ball this week.
It was a lonely weekend as Mike was away for a few days and the Reeds took a camping trip....leaving me all alone. I thought I would be very productive, but that didn't happen. Maybe this week!

The
Fair On the Square, sponsored by the Port Allegany United Methodist Church, was
once again a big hit...and also the weather was wonderful! There were 43
vendors and a very good turnout. I hope everyone who spent Saturday on
the square enjoyed themselves. I looked around several times and noticed
people just visiting and having a good time. It reminded me of old home
week! It was my favorite thing during Old Home Week to see the square lit
up at night and everyone visiting!!
I didn't get to stay for the whole event...and felt really
bad about missing the Pet Blessing and the Pet Parade...but while I was there,
it was a lot of fun! Thanks to everyone who participated...and thanks to
the Dotty and Joel Anderson and their committee for planning the event.
The reason why I couldn't stay was I was invited to a
surprise Silver Wedding Anniversary party for Tracy and Vicky Stauffer
Kio. It was a wonderful party for a wonderful couple and I was glad to be
included.
Monkey Island was held last week at the Alliance Church. It was very well done, as it always is...and was very well attended. I didn't get to spend much time there this year, but I enjoyed the time I was there. Congrats to all involved with Monkey Island.
I am ashamed to say that I have yet to be at the Community-Wide VBS. I hope to remedy that very soon. I've had something every night and really have things scheduled for tonight as well, but am going to get there and take some pictures to share with PAO.

Have you seen Pat Bodamer and his daughter, Trinity,
painting and making our Main Street looking so much better than it did?
Be sure to give them a pat on the back and some words of praise for their
efforts! Great job, Pat and Trinity! I took a walk down the second
block of the 'downtown' area and the displays are amazing. If you haven't
checked it out, be sure to do so.
Be
kind to one another!
