PORT ALLEGANY—Saturday’s Fair on the Square will include a
fundraiser for the restoration project at Lynn Hall, sponsored by the famous
place’s builder’s great granddaughter, Piper Hall. The builder was the late
Walter Hall, father of the late well-known architect Raymond Viner Hall,
designer of many area schools and other buildings.
The bake sale will feature brownies, no-bake cookies, peanut
brittle, peanut butter pies, chocolate covered bacon and other goodies.
Those wishing to contribute to the project may bring baked
goods, or buy.
Lynn Hall, which is on the National Register of Historic
Places, is owned by Gary and Susan DeVore. They began the restoration project
about a year ago.
The Fair on the Square will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Piper Hall can be reached at prh7777@yahoo.com or (814)331-2148.
