On August 28, at 6 p.m.,
the Town Square will be rocking with the music of the Daily Grind. The
final concert in the 2014 series will feature PAHS grads, Matt Majot
and Chris Petteys. Matt is on bass and vocals and Chris plays the
drums, along with Brad Hammer on lead vocals and guitar and Myles
Mahoney on lead guitar and vocals. Their music ranges from hip-hop to
hard rock. The band is based in Pittsburgh and they just completed a
national tour taking in New York City, Denver and Los Angeles with 50
shows in less than three months. Daily Grind independently produced
their debut album, "The Green Plan" that released in mid-March. Come
welcome Matt and Chris back to Port Allegany and meet the rest of the
band. The Port Allegany Women's Club will be cooking up a storm with a
menu of hot dogs, sausage sandwiches and baked goods, along with chips
and beverages. Photo credit goes to Mariah Wild. Mariah is the
granddaughter of Ted and Connie Boyer who reside in Port Allegany.
