Port Pool Is Open!!



Helping The Pool - Port Allegany High School Peer Helpers sponsored a Gertrude Hawk Fundraiser to raise $1,300 for the Community Park Pool.  Pictured are the senior members of the Peer Helpers (left to right) Morgan Price, Brittany Meacham, Jena Young and Logan Hutton.  The Recreation Authority is working to obtain grants to keep the pool operating.

Pool Opened June 9 - The Port Allegany Recreational Authority has announced that Community  Pool has opened. Pool hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:00 -5:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m.  Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00-5:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m.  Adult Swim will take place on Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Pool Passes are available now at Port Pharmacy, the First National Bank or in the Pool Office.  The first week is free.
Pre-sale pool passes are available as follows:
Family and Guest Season Pass - $150
Family Season Pass - $135
Individual Season Pass - $90.

Presale prices are available through June 23.  After the 23rd, prices increase by $20 with the Family and Guest at $170; Family - $155; and Individual - $110.  The Student and Adult Daily Rate is $5 during pre-sale days and after June 23rd.
When purchasing a Family & Guest Season Pass, the guests must be from outside of the Port Allegany School District.  
Those interested in swimming lessons may sign up at the Pool Office.   When purchasing a pool pass, one free session of swim lessons per child on the pass, is available.  Session I will take place from June 16 through June 27 and Session 2 will be from July 7 through July 18.  Swim lessons are $25 per session for those without a pool pass.
Swim Team practices begin June 16.  Sign up in the Pool Office.  Team members must have a pool pass to participate.
The pool and large picnic pavilion are available for rent by contacting Mike Nasto at 642-7220.  Cost for pool rental is $100 and cost for the large picnic pavilion is $25.
