Carl H. Berg III, 50, of Eldred, PA, passed away Saturday (June 14, 2014) in Coudersport.
Born on Dec 8, 1963, in Port Allegany, he was a son of Carl H. Jr. and Doris M. Card Berg.
He was a 1981 graduate of Otto-Eldred High School in Duke Center and later served with the U.S. Air Force.
A
lifetime resident of Eldred, he had been employed for the past 28 years
with Pierce Glass, later called Saint Gobain and currently called
Verallia North America.
Carl enjoyed playing in
many of the local softball leagues. He also was an avid trout fisherman
and enjoyed riding four-wheelers, but mostly he just liked being
outdoors. He loved spending time with family and friends.
In
addition to his parents, of Eldred, he is survived by two sons, Sean
(Rebeccah) Berg of Eldred and Joshua Berg of Coudersport; a daughter,
Stephanie Berg of Allegany, NY; three brothers, Michael (Jean) Berg of
Covington, KY, Dennis Berg of Houston and Eric (Radana) Berg of Christiansburg, VA; a sister, Sharon Hodgdon of Bradford; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends
may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday (June 20, 2014) at the First Church of
God, Main Street, Eldred, where the funeral will be held at 4 p.m. with
the Rev. James Kazimer, pastor, officiating.
