Randi Stickles, PAHS Class of 2002, and her band stopped in Port Allegany last week as part of their East Coast Tour. The event was organized by Todd Moses and Laura Fillhart of Moe's Bar and Grill.
According to their
website, "Blaine the Mono is a female fronted Alternative/Rock band from
Orlando, Florida. Each member brings with them a diverse range of influences
that allows the band to uniquely cross into other genres but remain true to a
one of a kind Alternative/Rock sound. Their new EP, "Vices In Verses"
released in December of 2012 is the follow up to their debut two song 2011
release, "One Rail, Two Tracks". Vices in Verses received glowing
reviews that praise Randi's impressive vocal range and style while complimented
by music that hooks you and exposes you to something refreshing. In 2013 Blaine
the Mono played WJRR's Earthday Birthday festival with popular bands such as
the Offspring, Papa Roach, and Stone Sour. Also in 2013 and 2012 they played
the Florida Musical festival, which included performances by the Supervillians
and the Dirty Heads." Members of Blaine the Mono are Randi Stickles,
Vocals; Eric Joseph, Guitar/Backup Vocals; Chris Culverwell, Bass/Backup Vocals
and Clifton Garner on Drums."
Opening for the band was Josh Hatcher with Chris Stavish and
Ariel Stavish and The Wind with Matt Bernardi, Dylan Bowers, Jonathan Meade,
George Riley and Heather Schena. There were estimates of 350-400 people
on the square to enjoy the concerts. Sound was provided by Ralph
Brooks. Pictured is Blaine the Mono lead singer, Port Allegany's Randi
