A honeybee busily gathers pollen from azalia blossoms on several weekends ago, not
observing a day of rest. Honeybees are a welcome sight, having been
fewer in recent years due to disease, pesticides and parasites. This one
shared the azalia with some bumblebees--only fair, what with those
friendly Apidae having handled most pollinating for a while. Martha Knight Photo
