BRADFORD, PA – The
University of Pittsburgh at Bradford’s Division of Continuing Education and
Regional Development will hold a professional development class on “Doing
Business in China” this month.
The class will be
offered from 8:15 to 11:30 a.m. April 15 in Room 200 of the Seneca Building in
downtown Bradford and from 9 a.m. to noon April 22 at the Community Education
Council of Elk and Cameron Counties in St. Marys. The class is co-sponsored by
the North Central Regional Planning and Development Commission Export Program.
Cost for each session
is $20 and includes a light breakfast. Pre-registration is required and may be
made through Pitt-Bradford by calling (814)362-5078.
The class is designed
for business managers, sales and development staff members, marketing staff,
human resources personnel and others involved with Chinese business and
development.
Teachers will be Jun
“Ruby” Liu and Lu “Jennifer” Chen, visiting Confucius Scholars from Wuhan
University in China. They will teach the cultural differences that exit in
business, business communication, proper gift giving and common phrases to
break the ice.
