Jazz and Java

The Senior High and Junior High Jazz Bands presented Jazz and Java Friday night, April 4,  at PAES.

 

The program, under the direction of Mr. Brad Stewart, included Rockin' Robin, Absolutely Positively, Dimples, and Louie, Louie by the Junior High group and Back Bay Breeze, Artistry in Rhythm, Take the "A" Train with MaKayla Ramadhan as vocal soloist, Blue Rondo A La Turk, land of Make Believe, Samantha with Logan Hutton on tenor saxophone, Brick House and Cantaloupe Island.

 

Members of the Junior High Jazz Band include Tara Briggs, Dominick Button, Kennedy Dates, Katherine Ernst, Frances Kujawski, Hannah Moses, Marcus Murphy, Mira Terette and Eli Undercofler on saxophone; Devon Briggs, Elijah Petruzzi and  Caroline Wise on trumpet, Robert Gamet, Owen Russell and Nathan Robinson on trombone, Mr. KennethMyers  on bass, Imani Klein on piano and Joshua Mealy and David Talkington on percussion. 

 

The Senior High Jazz Band includes Bryana Baer, Hannah Ernst, McKenna Johnson on alto saxophone; Logan Hutton and Mira Terette on tenor saxophone, Kennedy Dates on baritone sax, Matthew Causer, Adam Koehler, Charles Kysor and Andrew Rosenswie on trumpet; Jefferson Stehle and Garrett Talkington on trombone; Steven Bressan and Malari Lapp on key bass; Emily Gordon on piano, and Eli Knapp, Joshua Mealy, and David Talkington on percussion.
