Dodgeball Tournament

Helping PACS - Members of the Plain White Tees Dodgeball team are pictured with some of the items collected for PACS through the Dodgeball Tourney held recently at PAHS.  The event was sponsored by the Youth Counslors.

Dodgeball Tournament Benefits PACS - The Port Allegany Youth Counselors sponsored a Dodgeball Tournament for students in grades 7 - 12 on Friday, March 28 at the Port Allegany High School.  Three large boxes of donations were collected and donated to PACS along with $142.21 in cash donations.  Serving as referees were Youth Counselors Jeff Barber, Wade Kisler and Eric Sauers.  Matt Lawton (guest volunteer) and Youth Counselor Keith Delacour were the announcers.  Other members of the YC helped to organize the event.  Prizes for the winning teams were free 13 inch pizzas from Ed Vicic of the Port Freeze.

In the Junior High Boys Division, the team winner was Domination.  Members of Domination were Cory Burr, Daniel Fernstrom, Devi Griggs, Gage Emerson and Tyler Phillips.  Other teams competing were Wild Boi;s with Caden I., TyDel G., Devin G., Jordan B. and Jacob V.; Gym Class Heroes with Wyatt Dean, Christopher Bailey, Dylan Williams, Jared Green and Tyler Bliss; and No Names with Dax Hobbs, Todd VanSickles, Daleb Renner, Clark Barber and Caleb Young. 

The winning Senior High Boys team were the Dodgefathers with Chad Gaines, Tyler Kaple, Tyler Shaffer, Ben Setzer and Eli Knapp.  Also competing was the team named Delta Force comprised of Christian Moses, Chevy Smith, Adam Koehler, Alex Dynda and Christopher Lashway. 

In the Girls Division, the winning team was the Plain White Tees with Rikki Rennells, Allison Lathrop, Brooke Roys, Lynae Delacour and Kaylee Ernst.   The defeated the Dodgers with Teddi Kaple, Emily Stepp, Savannah Gray, McKenzie Elliott and Lynzie Turner.

A representative of the Youth Counselors said the group hopes to make this an annual charity event to benefit PACS.  They expressed an appreciation for the students' selflessness and superb level of sportsmanship and deemed the event a success.  Pam Fischer Photo
