Motorists locked out of their vehicles
and dogs roaming the neighborhood were absent from the lineup of issues Port
Allegany Police dealt with in the week that began Monday, March 3. But various
other matters kept them from becoming too bored as they patrolled.
Last Monday at 7:35
p.m. Officer Tony Tanner responded to a
call asking for police at Verallia shipping. There he received a report
concerning a truck backing into another truck. The operators were advised to
exchange information.
Last Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. Chief Dave
Distrola received a complaint concerning a Bridgeport Academy student who had
tried to sell a prescription drug to another student. The alleged would-be
seller was suspended and is facing criminal charges.
Last Wednesday at 2:19 p.m. Distrola
received a report from a Katherine Street resident about a possible phone scam.
The calls were originating from a company that sells extended auto warranties,
and is called Naviss Inc.
Thursday at 6:53
p.m. Officer Adam Dickerson responded to
Dollar General for a reported retail theft. He spoke with Jennifer Greene, who
is alleged to have stolen $10.34 worth of items. Investigation is said to be
ongoing.
At 8:45 p.m. Dickerson received a
report that a Potter County probationer had left Maple Manor in violation of a
court order. Dickerson was unable to locate the subject, Ryan C. Bodecker.
Friday at 8:30
a.m. Chief Distrola was dispatched to Route
6 to check out a report of a male juvenile walking on the side of the road. The
juvenile, age 13, had almost reached Roulette when he was found. He was
attempting to walk to the IU9 school in Coudersport because his bus had not
picked him up. But that was because his school had no classes for students that
day, while staff were having an in-service day. The juvenile was transported to
his home on Lower Portage.
Monday at 12:20
a.m. Officer Dickerson was dispatched to 24
North Main Street for a reported disturbance. He found that John Robedee was
arguing with his sister, Christina Robedee. John was arrested and transported
to the station where he was picked up by Potter County Probation for violating
a “no alcohol clause.”
