Zumba classes

Zumba classes are being held in Port Allegany and Eldred.  What is Zumba?  It's fast, it's fun and it's effective.  Zumba classes are a fun way to drop some pounds and tone your body.  Zumba involves dance and aerobic elements.  Zumba's choreography incorporates hip-hop, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo and martial arts.  Squats and lunges are also included.

Classes in Port Allegany are held at the Moose Family Center on Mondays and Wednesdays.  The Eldred classes take place Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Eldred Boro Fire Hall.  The nightly cost is $4 and a portion of the fee benefits the Moose and the Fire Hall.

Classes begin at 6:30 p.m. and are an hour in length.  Your first visit is free!  Classes are taught by certified instructors Saree Frederick and Suzy Zirkle who have been conducting classes for three years.

In Eldred, there is an optional weekly weigh-in and weight loss competition directed by Pennie Trask, LPN.  Trask calculates percentages lost and has weekly prizes for the biggest loser.
