A barkeep was attacked behind the bar.
A mother was said to have texted her child at the wrong time. A juvenile
demonstrated his immaturity by defacing a ceiling at school. An officer
controlled the scene of an alleged rape in the township, awaiting troopers.
Those and other matters occupied the
Port Allegany Police Department in the week that began Monday, December 16 and
ended Sunday, December 22.
Last Monday at 10
a.m. Chief Dave Distrola assisted a
motorist who was stuck, on Francis Avenue.
At 12:30 p.m. Distrola was dispatched
to a Mill Street apartment when an upstairs tenant, in the process of moving
out, was “not getting along” with the first floor tenant. They “exchanged
words,” according to the log, but no law enforcement action was necessary.
At 4:30 p.m. Officer Adam Dickerson
received a complaint of a Protection From Abuse violation consisting of a
mother texting her daughter outside the stipulated contact hours. The caller
was advised to notify the attorney.
Last Tuesday at 6:20 p.m. Dickerson
received a request to serve a subpoena for the St. Marys Police Department.
Last Wednesday at 10
p.m. Officer Dickerson was dispatched to
the Moose Club for a report of an assault. Barkeep Steven Kellner, 29, of Port
Allegany, was victim of an alleged unprovoked attack, behind the bar, by David
Elder, 45, of Smethport. Kellner was transported by ambulance to Charles Cole
Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, for evaluation, He had received minor bumps and
bruises.
Thursday at 5
p.m. Officer Jason Crants received a
complaint of criminal mischief where an unknown person had egged a residence.
At 5:48 p.m. Crants was dispatched to
the First National Bank branch at Lillibridge Place. It turned out to be a
false activation.
Friday at 10
a.m. Chief Distrola received a report of an
incident of institutional vandalism, in that a male juvenile had drawn an obscene
picture on the ceiling of the rear outer-entryway of the Port Allegany
Junior-Senior High School. Investigation continues; charges are pending.
Saturday at 2
a.m. Officer Tony Tanner was dispatched to
206 East Arnold Avenue for a report of an overdose of prescription medications.
Tanner assisted the ambulance crew.
Sunday at 2:50
p.m. Officer William Wenzel was dispatched
to an out-of-borough address for a report of a rape in progress. He stood by
until the arrival of Pennsylvania State Police. PSP took the subject into
custody without further incident.
