Police Report 1/06 - 1/12

A medical alert helped summon help for a woman who had locked herself out of her house and her car, out on Route 6 East. A kerfluffle between parent and child in a parking lot resulted in police intervention and referral to CYS. A domestic conflict got a woman restrained and about to be charged with disorderly conduct.

Those and other incidents were on the list of Port Allegany Police calls in the week that began Monday, January 6.

Last Tuesday at 3:50 p.m. Chief Dave Distrola helped a Route 6 East woman who inadvertently had locked herself out of her car with the keys to her home in the car. Fortunately she was able to contact 911 through a medical alert system. Being outside for an extended period on that bitterly cold day could have been hazardous.

Last Wednesday at 11:10 a.m. Distrola assisted a motorist with a vehicle lock-out problem in the Shop ’n Save parking lot.

An hour later Distrola responded to an alarm at PC Credit Union. It turned out to be a case of false activation. The employees were okay.

At 1 p.m. Distrola received information from a Vine Street resident who said he had received a phone call from someone in Jamaica requesting that he purchase a money pack scratch card and send it to UPS to process a claim for a prize.

Thursday at 2:10 p.m. Distrola was dispatched to the Shop ’n Save parking lot for a report of a parent-juvenile dispute. The caller was a third party who indicated that the parent had injured a 13-year-old male, breaking his finger. Investigation revealed that the juvenile was not injured. The call was referred to McKean County Children and Youth Services.

At 5:16 p.m. Officer Adam Dickerson was dispatched to 605 North Main Street where someone was reported to have taken several prescription medications. The subject was transported to Charles Cole Memorial Hospital for treatment and evaluation.

Saturday at 5:40 p.m. Officer Dickerson was dispatched to 71 South Main Street for a report of a domestic conflict. Dickerson intervened in a verbal dispute between Craig Hostler and Trisha Wilkins. Wilkins allegedly was intoxicated, and became aggressive toward the officer.  Dickerson restrained her and took her to the police station. She was released later. Wilkins will be charged with disorderly conduct.

Sunday at 2:55 a.m. Dickerson was dispatched to Sheetz for a report of a fight. When he arrived he spoke with three male subjects who said they had been arguing and pushing each other, but had not fought. The three subjects apologized and went their separate ways. They will not be charged.

At 3:30 p.m. Officer Kyle Day was dispatched to a Park Lane residence for a child custody dispute. A child did not want to go with the mother. No custody agreement or order is in place. The parents were advised to contact the Office of Domestic Relations.

At 7:32 p.m. Officer Jason Crants received a call concerning a child abuse issue at a Brooklynside location. The call was referred to Pennsylvania State Police.
