...THE WINTER STORM WILL BE GRADUALLY TRANSITIONING TO LAKE
EFFECT AND UP-SLOPE SNOW TODAY...

...WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EST THURSDAY...

* LOCATIONS...NORTHWEST MOUNTAINS.

* HAZARD TYPES...SNOW.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 5 TO 8 INCHES
  BY EARLY THURSDAY MORNING ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN...AND
  PERENNIAL SNOWBELT OF NORTHWEST WARREN COUNTY. ANOTHER 3 TO 5
  INCHES WILL OCCUR THROUGHOUT THE VALLEYS...AND AREA TO THE
  SOUTH AND EAST OF ROUTES 6 AND 219 IN MCKEAN COUNTY.

* TIMING...STEADY LIGHT SNOW WILL CONTINUE INTO THIS AFTERNOON.
  LAKE EFFECT SNOW OF VARYING INTENSITY WILL BEGIN DURING THE
  AFTERNOON AND PRODUCE ADDITIONAL AREAS OF HEAVY SNOW INTO
  TONIGHT.

* WIND...NORTHWEST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH OCCASIONAL GUSTS OF 25 TO 30
  MPH THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

* IMPACTS...DANGEROUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS DUE TO SNOW AND ICE 
  COVERED ROADS. THE WINDS MAY CREATE DRIFTS AND BLOWING SNOW.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DANGEROUS WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED. USE EXTREME
CAUTION IF PLANNING TO TRAVEL.
