Sunday school students from the Port Allegany United Methodist Church collected for UNICEF Sunday
afternoon. They raised over $125 for children in need. Children
helping children through UNICEF collections has taken place since 1950.
UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) works in more than 190
countries and territories to save and improve children's lives,
providing health care and immunizations, clean water and sanitation,
nutrition, education, emergency relief and more. The U. S. Fund for
UNICEF supports UNICEF's work through fundraising, advocacy and
education in the United States. The goal is to see the day when zero
children die from preventable causes and every child has a safe and
healthy childhood. Pictured are (front row, left to right) Lillianne
Reed, Jackson Young, Makayla Alcorn, Nick Wilfong, Levi Wilfong; (back
row) Jena Young, Julia Young and Kierra Keck. Not pictured is Maddie
